MANAGEMENT/BROKERAGE COMPANY 

Vanguard Commercial Realty, Inc. was formed by Sarah Vandagriff in Ormond Beach in 1993 for the management, leasing and brokerage of retail, office and multi-family income properties.  The first project was to turn around two underperforming shopping centers owned by Donald Regan 1993-1995.  Margaret Whiddon joined forces shortly thereafter representing Tallahassee area clients and properties for state leases and multi-family.  She now also represents retail tenants throughout the southeast.   Qualifications of other licensees and staff members range from research to management to brokerage in retail, office, multi-family and industrial.  We maintain memberships in ICSC, IREM and NAA, and are active in the Florida ICSC PAC. The Tallahassee office is also a member of the Board of Realtors.

BROKERAGE PARTNER’S BACKGROUND

 Margaret (Missy) Davis-Whiddon is Vice President of Vanguard and currently the active brokerage partner.  She began working with a local brokerage office, Investors Realty in Tallahassee in 1979, then did on-site management of office properties in Tallahassee in 1992, and joined Vanguard in 1993 with her own portfolio of multi-family properties to manage.   She joined the International Council of Shopping Centers and added retail site selection to her talents.  Her primary focus today is brokering retail sites for lease or sale, representing tenants and property owners.

MANAGING PARTNER’S BACKGROUND

Prior to forming Vanguard, Ms. Vandagriff was president of Loeb Partners Realty & Development Corp., the southeast subsidiary of Loeb Partners Realty, NY, reporting directly to Alan Gordon, CFO and Joe Lesser, CEO.  She was responsible for up to 37 retail and office properties at one time, and has managed/leased over 4 million square feet of office and 60 total shopping centers in a 20 year period, including the publicly traded Florida Gulf Realty Trust.   She has also brokered the sale of over 45 major properties and negotiated financing for many others.

Currently, Ms. Vandagriff also holds the position of Vice President and Director of Operations for The Jaffe Corporation, Ormond Beach, Florida, managing four of their retail properties.  She is the current president of the original Kiwanis Club of Daytona Beach (est. 1921) and active in both the Ormond and Daytona Chambers of Commerce.
